Vancouver’s renowned Chor Leoni Men’s Choir and Artistic Director Diane Loomer, C.M., are pleased to present Kidz Koncerts, a show for families and children.
Lullabies, counting songs, learning songs, fun songs: In every culture, children’s music has been used to soothe, teach and entertain. Kids Koncerts is an exploration of children’s music and stories from around the world, all sung in grown up style to appeal to the kid in all of us. Expect fun, stories, and readings from the amazing children’s author (and Vancouver resident), Robert Heidbreder. It’s a concert that will appeal to everyone –and blankies are welcome!
Robert Heidbreder was born in Illinois but now lives in British Columbia. He has enchanted children with his joyful poems and rhymes for more than two decades. An elementary school teacher, he believes that children’s love of silly and absurd combinations of words makes them natural poets. His books include Eenie Meenie Manitoba, Don’t Eat Spiders, I Wished for a Unicorn and, most recently, Drumheller Dinosaur Dance.
