We told you about our new favorite local butcher shop a couple of weeks ago, Arctic Meat & Sausage is a hidden local gem located just East of the Mary Hill Bypass in Port Coquitlam. It’s not a visible storefront that you would happen upon while out running errands but rather a destination butcher shop that only those in the know frequent.
With the holidays, just around the corner they have all of the essentials you need to get all the fixings for your holiday menu.
Whether you need to pull off a full traditional meal complete with a fresh turkey or a bone in ham or are planning to go a bit more casual you can put together any type of holiday entertaining meal without breaking the bank.
The deli is stocked with an array of smoked meats, sausages and cold cuts as well as cheeses, condiments and sweets that would make your holiday menu the talk of the town. The variety of European influenced specialty items is paired nicely with some of the more traditional fare that you may want to pick up for your holiday table.
Now is the time to visit as well as they have loads of holiday specials on for the month of December- be sure to visit soon as quantities are limited and if you want to get your hot little hands on a fresh local Fraser Valley turkey time is running out.
Take a look at all of the specials on right now at Arctic Meats and plan to head over and place your order before Marco and his team run out of everything- with most of their products being local and fresh they are in limited supply.Get Holiday Dinner ready with @articmeatsausa #MenuPlanning #HolidayMenu #BuyLocal Click To Tweet
We are generally quite traditional with turkey on Christmas and appies/charcuterie and plenty of wine on Christmas Eve while we watch fro Santa to fly over the house. I did go rogue one year and have Sushi on Christmas Eve, but there was still turkey on Christmas Day. What’s usually on your holiday menu? Tell us in the comments below.
